Warehouse Relocation

Full warehouse and factory relocations, machinery and labour included.

Overview

Warehouse Relocation

Moving a warehouse is not the same as moving freight. Plant has to come off the floor, get restrained properly, travel without damage and go back down at the other end, usually inside a window where you cannot afford to be shut.

We are hands on with it. Our crew runs the forklift, does the manual handling, and loads and unloads at both ends, so you are not lining up three different contractors to get one move done.

You pick the truck and the crew size. Tautliners or pantechs depending on how the gear needs to be loaded, and anywhere from one man up to a full team for the labour.

Your Call

Pick the truck, pick the crew

Not every relocation wants the same setup. Tell us what is moving and we will put the right body and the right number of hands on it.

Tautliners

Curtain sides open right along the truck, so a forklift can load straight on from the side. Suits machinery, plant and palletised gear that will not go through a back door.

Pantechs

Fully enclosed body. Suits office fitouts, furniture, stock and anything you want kept out of the weather and out of sight on the road.

One man to a full crew

Hire as much labour as the job needs. One offsider for a light move, or a full team when there is plant to shift and a window to hit.

Recent Job

Protein manufacturer, St Peters to Minto

We relocated a protein manufacturer’s production plant from St Peters out to Minto. Stainless steel processing equipment, packing machinery, conveyors and pipework, all loaded onto curtain siders behind load gates and strapped down for the run.

This was not a drop and go job. Our crew operated the forklift, did the manual handling where the gear needed hands on it, and handled the loading and unloading at both sites.

  • Production plant and packing machinery
  • Forklift operated by our crew at both ends
  • Manual handling and labour supplied
  • Loaded, restrained and unloaded by us

Our Process

How a relocation runs

  1. Walk the site

We come out, look at what is moving and work out the trucks, gear and crew the job needs.

  2. Plan the move

Access, timing, forklift requirements and how many runs. You get it in writing before anything shifts.

  3. Load and transport

Our crew does the handling and loading. Everything is restrained properly for the road.

  4. Unload and set down

We unload at the new site and place things where you want them, ready for you to reconnect.

FAQs

Warehouse Relocation questions

Can you move machinery and production plant?

Yes. Processing equipment, packing machinery, conveyors, racking and general plant. Tell us what is going and we will work out the right truck and crew for it.

Do you supply the labour or do we?

We supply it. Our crew runs the forklift, does the manual handling and loads and unloads at both ends. You are welcome to have your own people on site as well.

How many men can we get?

Anywhere from one man up to a full crew. Tell us the size of the job and how long you need them for and we will put the right number on it.

Do you use tautliners or pantechs?

Both. Tautliners open up along the side so a forklift can load straight on, which suits machinery and palletised gear. Pantechs are fully enclosed, which suits office fitouts, furniture and anything you want kept out of the weather. We will work out which one your job needs.

Do you operate forklifts on our site?

Yes. On the protein plant move from St Peters to Minto our crew ran the forklift at both ends of the job.

How much notice do you need?

As much as you can give us. Relocations take planning around site access and downtime, so call the office early and we will work back from your cutover date.

Can the move happen after hours or on a weekend?

Yes. We run 24/7, so moves can be scheduled outside production hours to keep your downtime down.
