Road Freight
Palletised, crated and oversized freight on curtain siders and pantechs. Sydney metro and regional NSW, on your schedule.
Road Freight
Road freight is the bulk of what we do. Our trucks run out of Wetherill Park every day carrying pallets, crates, machinery and general commercial freight across Sydney metro and out through regional NSW.
Most of our fleet is curtain sided. That matters more than it sounds. Curtains open the full length of the truck, so a forklift can come at the load from the side and put on crates and plant that would never go through a back door. Loading that takes an hour off a dock takes minutes off the side.
Where the freight needs to be out of the weather and out of sight, we put it on a pantech instead. Fully enclosed, locked, nothing visible from the road.
Every load leaves the gate restrained. Load gates up, straps rated and tensioned, dunnage and chain where the freight calls for it. We would rather spend the extra ten minutes in the yard than explain a shifted load at the other end.
We run one off jobs and standing runs. If you need the same lane covered every week, we will hold a truck for it.

Pick the body that suits the freight
Two very different trucks, and the wrong one turns a twenty minute load into an afternoon. Tell us what is going on the deck and we will send the right one.
Curtain siders
Curtains pull back the full length of the truck. A forklift loads straight in from the side, anywhere along the deck, so crates, machinery and long items go on without being dragged through a back door.
Pantechs
Fully enclosed and locked. Suits stock, cartons, furniture and fitout gear, and anything you want kept out of the weather and out of sight while it is on the road.
Dangerous goods capable
We are EPA registered for packaged and bulk dangerous goods, with the placarding, panels and licensed drivers that go with it. DG can share the run with your general freight where the rules allow.
Crated freight, loaded from the side
Timber crated lift components picked up out of a Western Sydney distribution centre. Long, heavy, and nothing about them wanted to go through a back door.
The curtains came back, the forklift loaded from the side along the deck, and the crates were set down between load gates with rated straps over the top and tensioned to the rails. Ten minutes of restraint work in the warehouse, and the load sat exactly where it was put the whole way.
- Side loaded by forklift, straight off the racking
- Load gates up the full length of the deck
- Rated straps over every crate and tensioned to the rails
- Dunnage between crates so nothing rubs in transit
- Curtains closed and sealed before the truck left the building
Where our trucks run
We are based at Wetherill Park, which puts us on the M7 and the M4 inside a few minutes. That is why so much of our work is Western Sydney industrial, and why a regional run does not cost us half a day just getting out of town. Worth knowing: the Blue Mountains, Penrith, the Hawkesbury and Wollondilly are all Greater Sydney councils, so they are a metro run, not a regional one.
Sydney metro
All 33 Greater Sydney councils. Western Sydney industrial estates, the CBD, the port and airport precinct, and right out to Penrith, the Hawkesbury, the Blue Mountains and Wollondilly.
Regional NSW
Central Coast, Newcastle and the Hunter, Wollongong and the Illawarra, the Southern Highlands and out through the Central West. Give us the two addresses and we will price the run properly.
On your window
Early starts, late finishes, weekends and public holidays. If your dock only opens at 5am, that is when we will be there.
How booking road freight works
Send the load details
Weight, dimensions, how many pallets or crates, and the two addresses. A photo of the freight helps more than a paragraph.
We match the truck
Curtain sider or pantech, and whether the job needs a forklift, a second set of hands or a particular time slot. You get the price before we book it.
Loaded and restrained
Gates up, straps rated and tensioned, dunnage where it is needed. Nothing leaves the yard until the load is properly secured.
Tracked to the door
The vehicle is tracked the whole way, so if you ring and ask where it is, we can actually tell you.
Road Freight questions
What sort of freight do you carry on road freight runs?
Palletised freight, timber crates, machinery, plant, building materials, stock and general commercial loads. If it is heavy, awkward or will not fit through a roller door, tell us and we will work out the right truck for it.
What is the difference between a curtain sider and a pantech?
A curtain sider has curtains down both sides that pull right back, so a forklift can load from the side anywhere along the truck. A pantech is a fixed enclosed box that loads from the rear. Curtain siders suit crates, machinery and anything needing forklift access. Pantechs suit stock, furniture and freight you want fully enclosed and out of sight.
How do you restrain the load?
Load gates go up along the deck, then rated straps over the freight and tensioned down to the rails. Dunnage under and between anything that could move, and chain where the weight calls for it. Nothing leaves the yard loose.
Do you cover regional NSW or just Sydney?
Both. Sydney metro is our daily bread, and that covers all 33 Greater Sydney councils, so Penrith, the Hawkesbury, the Blue Mountains, Campbelltown and Wollondilly are all still a metro run for us, not a regional one. Properly regional means the Central Coast, Newcastle and the Hunter, Wollongong and the Illawarra, the Southern Highlands and out to the Central West. We do those too. Give us the two addresses and we will price it.
Can you do a regular weekly run for us?
Yes. Standing runs are some of our best work because we learn your dock, your paperwork and your timing. Call the office and we will work out a rate for the lane.
Can dangerous goods go on a road freight run?
Yes. We are EPA registered for dangerous goods, packaged and bulk, so DG can travel on the same truck as your general freight where the rules allow it. See our Dangerous Goods Freight page.
Do you load and unload, or do we need a forklift?
We load and unload plenty of jobs ourselves and our crew can operate a forklift where one is available. If there is no forklift at either end, say so when you book and we will plan the job around it.
Can freight sit with you before or after the run?
Yes. We have short and long term freight storage at Wetherill Park with time slot bookings, so a load can land with us and go out later.
How quickly can you pick up?
Same day is often possible for Sydney metro. If it is genuinely urgent and cannot wait for a scheduled run, look at our Hotshot Transport service, which puts a dedicated vehicle on your job alone.
Do you run after hours?
We do. Plenty of docks only open early or late, and we would rather run to your window than make you run to ours.
